We recently held our small, family wedding reception at Ashfields which was a wonderful experience. The professionalism, care & attention to detail was second to none. Everything we asked for and more was put into place for us by the hard working, friendly staff. With 4 young children under the age of 4 in our party, everyone was catered for. We sought, and were given sound advice by the Ashfields team before & during the reception which helped our day run smoothly. It is approximately 20yrs ago that I visited Ashfields, has it changed yes however the food was good, service was excellent. Met the new owner she was very friendly and welcoming, they have only been there for 2 months. I hope they are successful.

Good food and atmosphere. Service was poor. Update: had Sunday lunch 2 weeks ago with friends.(in may and again in july) and was very good. Service friendly and attentive. Beer 'plentiful'! Updated star rating accordingly.

Staff and management are second to none.. Always a great friendly atmosphere. The food is always great and if you go on the selected special nights it really does work out cheap for such a high standard of food. Great setting and great venue for special occasions

I am no expert on Mediterranean food so can't comment on how authentic the meal we had was but I can comment on the flavours found in the meal which were subtle and very enjoyable. The staff were very helpful, extremely accomodating and coped really well with our large and boisterous group of 20 some of whom had special dietary needs. Like most restaurants these days, all surfaces were hard and uncovered so any sound made itself heard. Nevertheless I hope to return very soon and try it all again.

We always eat here, it's very warm and welcoming, summer or winter the atmosphere is great. Very cosy traditional pub restaurant. One thing I will say..... bring back the lemon meringue pie!! :)

Good food, decent prices. Beer always good here. The beer garden is great in the summer too.

Lovely take away! Never had a bad meal from here.

One of the many Oriental takeaways nearby, try them all and make up your own mind, this is a good one.
